&lt;P&gt;There isn't quite enough information to tell what the correct withholding should be, but that does sound low...&amp;nbsp; Here are my suggestions.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;UL&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Double check the W-4 by using this &lt;A href="https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/calculators/w4/" target="_blank"&gt;W-4 calculator&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Ask the payroll department to review the W-4 with your husband, to make sure what he requested is what is being withheld.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;If still unresolved, reach out to a tax expert at TurboTax live or add more data here so we can help.&lt;/LI&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;My husband works for a university and filled out his W-4 correctly by saying that he is married filing jointly with zero other deductions. But they are only holding out eight dollars a paycheck for taxes. Why is this happening?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
