      <description>&lt;P&gt;A temporary absence for education is still considered living in the home.&amp;nbsp; So indicate the &lt;STRONG&gt;whole year&lt;/STRONG&gt; where asked how long he resided in the home.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;If you are eligible to claim your son as a dependent then any time that your child is away at college qualifies as time lived with you.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You will count that time as the time lived with you.&lt;/P&gt;
