I have been using Turbo taxes for a few years now, however this year for some reason I did not finish my State taxes. I might have gotten called away, or something, but, in any case I think I should have been notified by Turbo tax " Hey, we are waiting for you to finish your taxes " something like that. It was not till I kept checking for my State tax to be deposited and decided to check the Turbo tax site and discovered that it had not been compleated.

Imagine my suprise. I immediatly compleated my taxes. But, very, very upset. I have Never been late filing my taxes. Not sure I will be using you next year.

I'm not a TurboTax employee, but truly am sorry that you were late filing your state return this year. I "think" that you may receive a reminder for a federal return prepared using TurboTax Online if you started but didn't complete a return. It's doubtful that any such reminder would be coming for a state return in either platform. The Desktop platform (CD/Download) is totally independent of the internet, and no part of it is monitored by TurboTax.

That said, TurboTax is a self-prepared tax preparation program. Unless you utilize one of the assisted options, the completion and filing of the return(s) are fully the responsibility of the taxpayer.

I'm happy to share your suggestion with TurboTax Moderators for consideration. Thank you for your feedback.
