When I try and e-file my Utah state return, I get the following message:

Form W-2G (rainbow casino) Payers state ID number is invalid for Utah. The entry should contain 11 numbers, followed by the letters WTH

How do I get past this? The casino is located in NV not UT

If no UT taxes were withheld in box 15 for the corresponding UT in box 13 then leave the UT line out of your W2G entries. As a UT resident the income will automatically flow to your UT return without a UT state line on the W2G.
