IRS e-filing error: IND-517-01

The information inside the TurboTax app says:

"If multiple dependents are present in this return, review the Description field. There will be a number in brackets, like [?], that identifies which dependent is causing this rejection. For example: [2] will identify the second dependent from the top."

However, it never indicates where I can fiend this so-called "Description" field. I went into the screen that shows all of my dependents, and nowhere do I see a description field. How do I find this?

Look at your Form 1040. Your dependents are listed on the first page, in the top half of the form.

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the screen. Click on Tools. Click on View Tax Summary. Click on Preview my 1040 on the left side of the screen.

I found it, but I'm in the App, not the website version.

Why does intuit offer both? And if I've paid for the app, can I switch and start using the web based version?

@spendlove No, you cannot switch from the CD/download to online. If you are using the CD/download you can use Forms mode and look at your Form 1040.
