K1 Entry. Adding New Members in Second Year

I am taking over the tax return for an LLC. The LLC used a different CPA last year so I am starting with year 2. I entered all of the existing members with no problem. When I enter the new members then TurboTax automatically checks the boxes of "This is the member's first year as a member" and also checks the box for "This member left the company this year" and I cannot unclick it.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Please clarify and expand on your question. I have tried to duplicate your situation in TurboTax Business without success. Is the problem you are encountering coming from an import from Quickbooks perhaps? Please let us know what version of TurboTax you are using so we can explore the problem you are having further. If you would like, you can send us a token of your return and we can look at what you have entered. The token provides us with a sanitized version of your return and entries that does not show any personally identifiable information but allows us to go step by step to see what you have entered. The steps to follow for this are below:

Switch to interview mode in TurboTax
Go to any screen except the Welcome screen
From the menu, select:
- Online if you are on a PC
- Help if you are on a Mac
Select Send Tax File to Agent
- You will be notified that all personally identifiable information (PII) is being removed
Note and best to write down the seven-digit token number that appears
- Relay this token number to us
In the pop-up, select Send to save a copy to your computer.

Once we receive this, we should be able to look closer at the issue you are having and hopefully come to a resolution.

I'm having the same issue. I am using Turbotax Business 2022. We added some new members to the LLC last year, and when I am trying to add them the two boxes "This is member's first year as a member" and "The member left the company this year" automatically are checked and I cannot uncheck them to put in what their investment was.

Did this get concluded?

ANY FIX TO THIS? EXACT SAME ISSUE. BUT I'LL ADD, IT WON'T LET ME ADD A DUPLIATE OF MYSELF AND UNCHECK THE CORRECT BOX.
