Can't import a corrected 1099B

When I first imported 1099 documents (with a huge number of transactions), everything went well. Later, I was informed one of the 1099s was a corrected copy, so I deleted the original 1099 I'd imported. When I tried to re-import the updated 1099, I was unable to select the specific 1099 I needed. There was no longer a list of forms to select from, and TT kept telling me there were now too many transactions to import at all. I opted to enter totals from the un-imported 1099B. This 1099B included an adjustment, so now I have to file a form 8453 along with the statement. I had to download the Form 8453 from the IRS site. Apparently the IRS only accepts mailed copies of the 8453 and statement. The statement is 180 pages long.

Why can't I select specific forms to import? Did I do something wrong?
