topic E filing in Get your taxes done using TurboTax

I have a W2 that was issued only for state wages based on a sick day payout. State income taxes were also taken out at the time of the payout. The only boxes that contain information on the W2 are 12a, 14, 15, 16, & 17. Box 1 is zero since I did not receive any federal wages and the sick day payout is not subject to federal taxes. Turbo Tax is saying I can't e-file if Box1 is zero, that I would have to mail in my returns. Is there a way I can still e-file and if so, how can I go about doing it?

Thanks

Not exactly the most creative of solutions, but consider entering a "1" in the federal income, social security, and medicare wage boxes. You would leave the withholding boxes at zero. It still may not get you through but it is worth the try. The software is looking for an entry and it is not unusual for state wages to differ from Federal, Social Security, and Medicare wages.
