Multiple Returns using Deluxe Download

I just completed my 2022 return using the Deluxe Download version on my desktop. I want to start another return for my daughter. How do I do this? I'm worried about messing up the return I just did. Thanks....

If you are using the CD/download, in order to start a new return, open the TurboTax program, go up to the tool bar on the top of your screen and click File, then click "New Tax Return" to start a new return for a family member. When you save your returns----and be SURE you are saving----name the returns so you will know whose is whose.

With the TurboTax Download (Desktop) you can file multiple returns. You get 5 Free Federal e-files, after the 5 you must print and mail in the returns. With Deluxe and above you get one free State program, there is a charge to e-file a return. You can print out and mail your State return to avoid the e-filing charge.

To start another return in the Desktop software: Click on the File menu, choose New Tax Return. Make sure any previous return prepared have been saved and with the name of the file as the name on the tax return.

Thank you! Can I rename a turbotax file to whatever I want as long as I don't change the extension/filetype?

@Wolf Larson Yes, you can rename your files, you can rename name a return by using the Save As option in the File menu.
