TurboTax bug -- duplicated 8582 forms

Hi,

I see two copy of form 8582 with different values in my tax return files. Is this a TurboTax bug? How to remove/delete one of it?

Take a closer look at both copies of Form 8582. It is likely that one of them is Form 8582 for Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT). The heading of the form will show that it is for your records and is for ALT MIN TAX.

If that is the case, then it is not unusual that the numbers being reported on both forms will not be the same. You should not try to delete either form since they are both relevant to your tax return.

Thank you for your proper response. Yes, one of the two Form 8582 did show "ALT MIN TAX KEEP FOR YOUR RECORDS". And actually two copies as part of Federal tax return and two copies as part of State tax return.
