i need to include interest paid in cost basis of stocks, and must switch to form mode and can't figure out how to do that on a MAC

How do I switch to Forms Mode in the TurboTax for Mac software?

To switch to Forms Mode, open your return, and then select the Forms icon from the TurboTax menu.

The Federal Information Worksheet will display and all the forms in your return will be listed. Simply select a form to open it.

To switch back to the interview, select the EasyStep icon from the menu.

Tips

In the interview, you can also view the underlying tax form by selecting Show Form at the bottom of your screen
It's OK to switch to Forms Mode if you want to look at a form or two, but constantly switching back and forth between Forms Mode and the interview has been known to cause problems and data corruption

Is there a TurboTax tab? Look under the TurboTax tab at the top of your MAC screen.

Are you using the TurboTax software for tax year 2022 that you purchased and then installed on your personal computer?

Or are you using the TurboTax online web-based editions where you have to sign onto your account with a User ID and Password?

@Marians2020taxes Are you sure you are using the CD/Download software? It is showing you are using the Online version which does not have forms mode.

@Marians2020taxes You posted your question from online Premier. Online TurboTax does not have Forms mode. Forms mode is only featured with the CD/download. If you are using the online software you can look only at your Form 1040.

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the screen. Click on Tools. Click on View Tax Summary. Click on Preview my 1040 on the left side of the screen.

That does network. I have the desktop version (have the disk). , MAC The forms mode is grayed out . Unlike previous versions. Online is says can't do forms if you use the online Turbotax. I do not, I have the desktop. Looksloike the system thinks I have the online version. So how do I get to forms mode?

Do the menu tabs go across the top or down the left side in a black bar? Try going way up to the Apple bar and see if Forms is listed up there.

I solved the problem. Don't do the forms section, do view , then forms, . The "forms" selection does nothing until you do view first.
