topic E-Filing when using tax deadline extension in Get your taxes done using TurboTax

I wanted to know if those who choose to file 2022 taxes in Oct 2023 using turbotax software will be able to file the taxes online (use e-file for both federal and state), or they would need to mail hard copy of taxes to IRS. This year IRS has given automatic extension to CA residents affected by bad weather, so many will file late in Oct, so wanted to know if they can still do e-filing for both federal & state? Also is there any extra fee charged by Turbotax in such a case.

E-filing for 2022 returns will stay open until October 15, 2023. After that a 2022 return would have to be filed by mail.
