There is no place to indicate that he is a government employee. If you are wanting to claim employee business expenses, you just enter the expenses if you qualify. The deduction is listed under the Deductions & Credits section. Scroll down the list to Employment Expenses and select Start next to Job-Related Expenses. It is limited a very few employees.
