Is the information worksheet under Forms used for 3rd party authorization? I didn't see anything in the Step by Step input. Additionally, do boxes checked (e.g. , virtual currency) on this worksheet get transmitted in the e-file?

Taking this further, will anything entered directly in Forms flow directly to the return and be part of the e-file?

superman23,

While there is a lot that is available in Forms view in the desktop versions of TurboTax, I assume you are focused on just those that match an IRS form number, e.g. 1040, 8949, Schedule 1, etc. In that event, the answer is very much "yes" but do beware that some additional stuff may appear alongside the actual form lines, e.g. Schedule B has an embedded "Interest Income Smart Worksheet" and a corresponding "Dividend" one.

On Form 1040, the IRS does have a checkbox to ask if you have dealt with Digital Assets. And, of course, the Third Party election.

In the step by step option, the digital asset question comes up on the second screen after you click Done With Income. Rather strangely there is no way to enter the 3rd party designee in step by step. (https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/taxes/discussion/third-party-designee-how-to-add-this-in-turbotax-online-filing-for-relative-with-dementia-i-am-the/00/2897953)
