Form 770 shows you owe a balance due of $27.00. No payment is required to be sent. If payment is not required to be sent, how is the balance due paid?

Are you talking about this page?

Where on this form does it say that no payment is required to be sent? Also, are you talking about the amount you owe or the Virgina income tax, they are two different amounts you know after various payment, credits and penalties are applied.

The problem was on the 2022 Virginia Tax Return Summary page, prior to filing. The message also was truncated. Unfortunately, I did not capture a photo of the issue.

Bottom line, once the return was filed, the payment was shown to be required.
