If your TurboTax fees are higher than expected, you can reduce them by removing add-ons:

Remove Premium Services
Remove MAX Defend & Restore
Remove a state
Remove PLUS Help & Support
Remove Pay With Your Refund

Go back through the process again. They are tricky at the end and add questions like "Do you want audit insurance?" They automatically choose yes for you, so you manually have to uncheck it and say you don't want it. I am guessing that is why your amount is higher. Also, check that they aren't charging you for the state filing fee.
