E-file rejection: IND-031-04, successfully resolved

Background:

1. tax year 2022, married and jointly filing, e-file

2. tax year 2021, married and jointly filing, paper-file

3. tax year 202o, single and separate filing, paper-file

1st rejection comes with "IND-032-04 - 'SpousePriorYearPIN' or 'SpousePriorYearAGIAmt' "

Tried again with the same number, same rejection errors.

2nd attempt, change spouse AGI into 0 and filed again.

2nd attempted rejected, rejection comes with "IND-031-04 - The primary taxpayer's AGI or Self-select PIN from last year does not match IRS records."

3rd attempt, change the primary AGI into 0 and filed again.

Successful.
