Turbo Tax Deluxe - when I try to import my brokerage statement from Edward Jones the program says "The system did not recognize the User ID or Password you entered. Please try again" I have tried several times with no success. Never had this issue in the past years using Turbo Tax Deluxe. Any advice?

call the broker. generally, import is not from a downloaded 1099 but rather directly from the FI's website by providing specific info and importing directly.

for example, with my broker, I do not log in. In Turbotax, once I select import and then the broker I'm taken to the broker's website which requires the full account number and document ID. the stupid thing is the only way i can get the document iD is by actually logging into the website and reviewing my tax documents OR wait till I get copies in the mail. different brokerages use different methods but importing from a PDF usually doesn't work.
