Most likely, your return was adjusted when the state processed it and that resulted in you getting a bigger refund. They will send you a letter explaining what the adjustement is most likely.

While it is not uncommon, the reasons could be numerous. Did you make estimated tax payments to the state during the year that you did not include on your return? Did it turn out you were entitled to state tax credits that you were unaware of and which you did not enter eligibility when you filled out your state information in TurboTax?

As I said, the reasons can be numerous and as ThomasM125 stated, you should receive a letter from the state explaining the difference. You may find the explanation letter not exactly forthcoming as states are usually slower in notifications than the IRS.
