How much you made and the AGI needed for filing are not the same. The AGI is the adjusted gross income after all the deductions were allowed but before the credits. Source: AmyC

The IRS requires your 2022 AGI to verify your identity for e-filing. If you're paper-filing, you won't need your AGI.

Hi there! AGI stands for Adjusted Gross Income. It represents your Total Income on Form 1040 minus any adjustments to your income from Schedule 1, line 26. On your 2022 Form 1040, you will record your AGI amount on line 11.

When filing your taxes, you may be asked to provide your AGI amount, from the prior tax year. This is one way for the IRS to verify your identity. Look at last year's tax return, line 11 on Form 1040, and you will find your AGI for that year. I hope this helps.

I know I have the correct AGI. I use a different TAX program last year and have the correct AGI. I think TurboTax is not interfacing with the IRA. Two of my returns done on this program Turbotax somehow mysterioulsy dont work. Come on TurboTax get it together.

Try finding out what AGI the IRS may show in their system by requesting an online transcript of your prior year return. Here is a link.

Next, try using a zero for the prior year AGI. If none of those work, you will need to print/mail your return.
