      <description>&lt;P&gt;Why do you not want to file &amp;nbsp;federal electronically?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Can you e-file State without filing federal at the same time -- there is nothing that prevents &amp;nbsp;you from doing that &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;But should you ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Most states wait fro the federal acceptance before they will process the state. &amp;nbsp;There are a few exceptions , like CA. &amp;nbsp; If you file State alone and not filing federal, you may have to mail-in the state &amp;nbsp;along with a copy of the federal. But again , the processing may not happen till the federal is accepted&lt;/P&gt;</description>
