If you are insured on his policy or you are named on any marketplace insurance policy, you must enter the 1095-A on your return unless someone claims you as a dependent on their return.

you also have to find out from him if he did a policy allocation. allocating part of the cost to you. you can only get this info from him. the 1095-A that you get will not show policy allocation if any.

Yes, if your kids are included on your return and they are covered through the marketplace, you must include the 1095-A on your return even if it comes in his name.
