if you bought a CD you have to make it work, or return it for a refund of your cost.

To get it working, you can get an installation file over the Internet via your intuit account

You can use the online version if you prefer. You can create an account and start for free. You will be asked to pay for the program before you file. Since you have already paid for the CD/Download, I recommend you try to make that work so that you are not paying twice.

What happens when you try to install from the CD? Does it even read the CD? Do other CDs work in the drive? Maybe you have it upside down? What kind of computer do you have? Is it Windows?

If the CD isn't loading, use the download method instead of the CD. It has more advantages over the CD. Then you can also download it another computer or if you need to reinstall it.

There should be a card in the CD case on on the CD envelope that says how to download it and you will need the 14 or 16 digit code from it to enter.
