When I go to file, using Turbo Tax which I installed on my computer using a CD, why is Turbo Tax asking me to go to their store to pay for using Turbo Tax?

Did you choose to upgrade to a higher version? You'd need to pay extra if you upgrade.

Or did you add a state? Some retail versions of TurboTax don't include a state return.

Thanks but no, I did not upgrade. I have no need to upgrade. The Deluxe version has always worked well for me. I have been using Turbo Tax since 1999. I only had one other problem one year about 4 years ago. Other than that I love this product, but I am very unhappy right now.

I know I have to pay for the state. It was on my screen when I was trying to file my return.

I got my taxes filed. This time when I went to file, I decided to choose "I will set up an account later" and stayed away from the Turbo Tax website and was able to get the taxes filed. So thanks for trying to help me.
