Is there an easy way on my 2022 Tax return to account for a quarterly payment I forgot to record on my 2021 return? (As a result of that, I ended up paying more tax than I should have for 2021.)

No, you have to deal with that on your 2021 return.

If you made estimated payments in 2021, and forgot to report them on your 2021 tax return, that means you overpaid. The IRS should detect the overpayment and automatically issue a refund, although they are very backlogged. Check your Account transcripts and see if they show you with a positive balance.
