Why am i unable to add self employment income without adding a new line of work

You will need to edit the self-employment line of work to add more income or expenses.

To change or add income to self-employment work you have already started you can follow these directions:

Open or continue your return in TurboTax.
Search for self employed income (use this exact phrase, don't add a hyphen) and select the Jump to link at the top of the search results.
Answer Yes on the Did you have any self-employment income or expenses? screen.
- If you land on the Your 2022 self-employed work summary page, select Review next to the work you're adding income for.
Answer the questions on the following screens until you arrive at Let's enter the income for your work.
Scroll down to the Income section and click Add income for this work.
Choose Other self-employed income (or any type of income you need to add) and Continue.

I have the same problem in April.... but there is no "REVIEW" button option, just an Edit/Add button that allows you to add or delete the existing business. Did the OP get an answer that worked?

Try this. To add self-employment income in TurboTax Online:

If you don’t see 2022 TAXES in the left pane, select the dropdown to the right of Income & Expenses on the Hi, let’s keep working on your taxes! page and then select Let’s get started, Pick up where you left off, or Review/Edit.
- Otherwise, in the left pane, select Wages & Income
Scroll down and select the Review button to the right of Self-employment income and expenses for the existing business you're referring to
Select Review below the existing business
On the Here's your [existing business] info page, scroll down and select Add income for this work
From here, you can input your income

If you don't see the Review button in step 3 above:

If you don’t see 2022 TAXES in the left pane, select the dropdown to the right of Income & Expenses on the Hi, let’s keep working on your taxes! page and then select Let’s get started, Pick up where you left off, or Review/Edit.
- Otherwise, in the left pane, select Wages & Income
Scroll down and select the Edit/Add dropdown to the right of Self-employment income and expenses
Select Edit to the right of your self-employment item
On the Here's your [business] info page, scroll down and select Add income for this work
Again, you can input your income
