We were both signed up for Healthcare.gov credits and are now on individual policies. Are there complications to consider as I file for 2022 as an Individual? Our kids are grown so no dependents and QDRO has been split up as per the divorce judgement.

Hi Pgglynn, When preparing your tax return, you'll need to enter the information reported on both of the 1095-A forms that will be issued by Healthcare.gov. The 1095-A form detailing coverage for the policy that covered both of you will need to be entered on your return, even if that was issued to your spouse. After entering all the monthly amounts for that 1095-A form, the following screen asks if I shared this policy with another taxpayer not on my taxes. Select that and you'll be able to enter allocation percentages to split that policy between you and your ex. Enter the other 1095-A that's just for your policy and TurboTax will generate a Form 8962- Premium Tax Credit based on both of the 1095-A forms.
