Lost home in Tornado in January, 2022

Hello,

I lost my home in a tornado on January 16, 2022; then lost possessions in hurricane Ian on September 28, 2022. I in the process of buying a condo with a loan from the Small Business Administration. What am I looking at for filing my taxes?

Wow...that is certainly some bad luck to you. Hopefully, you have received a full life time of bad luck and only good fortune is ahead of you..

I'm going to send you a link to get you started...but I will say this, the tax laws are not written to help victims of natural disaster. SBA and other agencies are designed to help out. So, it depends on what your income is and what other gains or losses you might have.
