turbotax 2022 pdf file where is it

doing my 2022 turbotax taxes, save as pdf format.saving to iCloud.

but when I look for it in iCloud or computer, cant find it.

looked in file extension .pdf,also tax data file format .tax2022.

anyone know if it is hidden in the program itself till filed, or what?

It is saved when you save it. It is not saved in the program. Are you on Windows? It should be in your Documents then in a Turbo Tax folder. Did you save it as both the pdf and .tax2022 files? Search your whole computer for all files ending in .tax or .tax2022.

Did you save your return? In Windows you have to manually save, although it will ask if you want to save when you exit the program or switch to another return.

If you don't have the main .tax file you might have one that starts with a Tilde sign ~ like "~your name.tax2022". That file is if your computer crashes or your real file gets lost or deleted or corrupt so you can restore it.

Thanks Volvogirl,i did find my return.

I am now working on TT 2022 .I am using Mac osx platform.

I started return and have said to .pdf form on computer, but I would also like to save it in .tax file extension format in case I have to use TT 2022 in the future.

what is easiest way to convert/save my data in .tax format now.it is currently in .pdf form.

Turbo Tax should automatically save your return as the .tax2022 file. Especially in Mac. That is the file Turbo Tax uses. Your return is not saved in the program. If you close and open the program again your file should show up.
