What list? We cannot see your screen. What are you trying to do?

Several states do not have a state income tax. So these states will not show up in certain drop down lists. Leave boxes 15, 16, and 17 blank when you enter a W-2 for these states.

Alaska, Florida, Nevada, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington and Wyoming

Tennessee does not have a personal income tax so there is not a TN state tax return.

If this is for a federal tax return you have to report all income from all sources regardless if the income comes from a source that does not have an income tax.

I am not talking about W-2. This is for the 1099-INT. Interest from Saving accounts

@oscareposada So? You enter it on your federal return. It is taxable income on a federal return.

Yes it is taxable for Federal, but it is NOT for TN. See the screenshot below.

I have used TurboTax for so many year and TN has been always in the list. This controls the trigger for State Tax. And if I select None of this apply to me will prompt for me to file TN State return. TN should be in the dropdown list as always has been.

@oscareposada The program cannot prompt you to complete a Tennessee state tax return because it no longer exists. Tennessee has not had a state income tax of any kind since 01/01/2021.

And if you are paying attention you will see that none of the states in that particular list are states with no state income tax.

States with no income tax

Alaska, Florida, Nevada, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington and Wyoming

So....choose "NONE"

You are 100% correct. I see now in the page the State Tax return is showing as Not Applicable.
