      <description>&lt;P&gt;To be eligible for the Child Tax Credit in tax year 2022 you must have at least $2,500 of earned income.&amp;nbsp; The SSI you receive is not earned income.&amp;nbsp; If the SSI is your only income for 2022 there is no need to file a 2022 tax return, with or without a dependent.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
