Why are you listing them as a dependent if they are not a dependent ? Delete them.

Why?

A. Because Turbotax, if you use it every year, just leaves them on there, even after they turn 18 (did for my kids, anyway). So I didn't bother deleting them.

and

B. She's disabled now - so I wanted to find out *if* she would qualify as one. Which I think she would have, if she truly hadn't paid more than 50% of her living expenses last year. What I'm saying is, Turbotax isn't letting me answer Yes to the question (did she pay more than 50% of her living expenses), it keeps magically changing my answer back to "no", even though I answered "yes".

But yes, I suppose just deleting her altogether would work.

Once the child turns 19 then their support comes into play ... so did she turn 19 yet ?
