Can I find a University EIN number?

I need to enter the EIN Number for the university that my son attended in the Spring Semester of 2022. It is not on the Enrolled Student Confirmation form the University provided.

Are you trying to enter a Form 1098-T, Tuition Statement? If so, the EIN is on the 1098-T that you should have received from the school.

The University used the 1098-T form to validate that my son was an enrolled student but did not include the EIN number on the form.

I went back to my 2021 Tax Records and found the EIN number on one of the forms.

Then you will have to contact the school for the EIN. Or do not enter the 1098-T and complete the Education section using the education expense information that you have.

Most schools these days require the student to log in and download the 1098-T form ... it may not be mailed.
