IRS Payment Processing Date Later Than Estimated Tax Due Date

Hi Members:

Today is Saturday, January 14th, 2023.

I logged into the IRS website to pay Estimated Quarterly Taxes that are due on Monday, January 16th.

When I get ready to submit my payment, it shows the payment date as Tuesday, January 17th.

What should I do?

Do I pay today, knowing it will be for the 17th?
Do I wait until Monday, and hopefully it will post on the 16th instead?
And if it turns out that it won't be processed until the 17th, am I going to get charged a penalty fee?

The 4th quarter 2022 estimated tax payment can be paid on or before January 17, 2023. So if the payment date is 01/17/2023 then it has been timely paid for tax year 2022.

Note - January 16, 2023, Monday, is a holiday. Martin Luther King Day

Thank you for the help! I eventually figured out it was MLK Day on Monday, and so I have now submitted my payment.
