How can I know I finished my Taxes?

If it says pending what exactly does it mean?

You e-filed the tax return so now it is Pending waiting for the IRS to start accepting tax returns on January 23, 2023. It may take up to a week after the IRS starts pulling the millions of tax returns that are pending before the return is Accepted by the IRS.

Pending simply means you sent the return but the IRS has not yet accepted it for processing. Your return (with millions of other eager beavers) is sitting on the TT servers in a "holding pool" waiting for the IRS to come drain the pool. This week they will start pulling a few "test" returns to work thru the system looking for problems, glitches and bugs. Pray that your return doesn't get caught in any system error situation ... just one of the possible perils of early filing.

So just sit back and wait for the email alert letting you know if the return is accepted or rejected ... should happen in the next 10 days or so.
