For Dave and a few ladies I had talked to:

Dear Turbotax staff ; I must humbly ask your forgiveness for what I now realize was a completely wrong position I was taking.

I was very surprised by the sudden increase of tax this year (2021) compared to last year 2020. There was one VERY good reason for the increase:

THE YEAR 2020 REQUIRED NO RMD FROM IRA'S,

In addition to that memory lapse. 2021 was also the first year I couldn't file as a widower.

But I was surprised that no one I was talking to refreshed my fading 90 year old memory.

I'll be back with you next year. Thanks.
