You have not mentioned whether you have any other income, or whether you will be filing jointly with a spouse. If you will be filing a joint return then all of your combined income goes on the return.

There are several kinds of disability income--we do not know what you are receiving. If your only income is Social Security disability you do not have to file a tax return unless you had tax withheld and need to seek a refund.

It depends on the type, and the amount received.

If you are referring to Social Security disability, and you aren't filing using married filing separately, then it's unlikely you would be required to file.
If you are receiving a disability from your work and it is not workmen's compensation, then you may be required to file if you meet the filing requirement.
