Why is return less than quoted?

Trying to figure out why income tax return is $200 less than what is state on the 1040 form completed with your service. I was supposed to receive $516. minus your feel of $19.99. I only got $300.04. Where is the remainder of the funds or where did they go? Joann

First, there is an extra $39.99 charge (higher in CA) to have your fees deducted from your refund.

However, the IRS may have made an adjustment or offset. They will be sending you a letter; they do not notify TT.

Or you used a higher version than Free Edition Plus. Or...
