File 2022 tax return for an adult kid

We use TurboTax CD/Download every year for ourselves tax return. Can we also use the same CD/Download to file a 2022 tax return (Federal & State) for our son who is working at a different state?

with the desktop you can prepare and e-file 5 separate returns. if your son's state has an income tax you'll have to also purchase an additional state. remember to save each return as a separate file (different file name)

Yes----with your CD/download you can prepare and e-file up to five federal e-files and state returns. If you need an additional different state for your son you will need to pay the $45 fee for that state software. And of course, with the CD/download there is always a fee to e-file state returns. Since your son lives elsewhere, you might want to print out his copy for him to sign and mail.
