I currently run a single member LLC and provide my business services for my local school once a week and they have requested I complete a W-9. I am a little confused on the exemption; does my single member LLC qualify as a Corporation and get the exemption for being "a corporation." Just want to make sure I am filling this out right!

No, and you would know because you would have had to file Form 8832 to have your LLC treated as a C corporation (or Form 2533 for an S corporation) for federal income tax purposes.

Ok ... when you got the EIN you told the IRS what kind of entity you wanted the LLC to be. Did you choose to be a corporation at that time ? Look at the IRS acceptance notice ... does it say you need to file an 1120?

An LLC is not a corporation. If you incorporated as an S corporation or C corporation, you would know it. An LLC has the option to be taxed as if it was an S corporation, but this requires filing a special form and you would know whether you had done that.
