      <description>&lt;P&gt;Provided the software is for the year 2019 or newer .&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;A couple things to try.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1)&amp;nbsp; make sure you run the software update.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;then&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2)&amp;nbsp; On the first screen that asks for the employer number...DO NOT put it in....move on to the full form and put it in one of the fields provided there.&amp;nbsp; The first request for the employer number is there only to (potentially) import the W-2 from a W-2 provider, AND prior year W-2 imports are not available anymore, so you must enter the W-2 data manually anyhow.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;That should do it.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;But if not....&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;3)&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;do a full reboot of yoru computer and try again&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;or&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;4)&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Call "Customer Support"&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/account-management/turbotax-phone-number/L0Od33nMQ_US_en_US?uid=lchox6ud" target="_blank"&gt;What is the TurboTax phone number?
