During 2022 I legally changed my name; how do I get it updated in Turbotax?

When you prepare your 2022 return, enter your new name. Make sure you have your new name on file with the Social Security Office. The IRS will use the name that is on file with the SSO. If you need to update your name on your return, click on Personal tab, click Edit next to your name, then enter your new name.

After transferring your data from your 2021 return, click the edit button next to your name at the Personal Info section.
