What happens?

CD/DOWNLOAD (This requires a full PC or Mac—-cannot be used on a mobile device)

You can also purchase the CD/download from various retailers such as Costco, Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, Staples, Sam’s Club, etc. etc. etc.

When you use desktop software, there is an additional fee to e-file a state return. You can avoid that fee if you print, sign and mail the state return. The state e-file fee is $19.99 and increases in March.

The turbotax website is unable to process a credit card payment. I have tried over a number of days to make the purchase to no avail. I also set up a new Intuit account to see if thew issue was my original account, but that also did not work.

Error message copied below:

Oops. We’re having a little trouble processing your billing information. Please contact support to speak with an expert to assist you

I should also note that this same exact issue occurred when I purchased the 2021 version last year, and when I had to pay to file 2 state returns. Numerous calls were made to turbotax support to fix the issue, but to no avail. A year later the issue still happens.
