I live in Multnomah County and we passed two measures over a year ago which have significant tax implications. They were not covered in the turbotax filing for the 2021 tax year and as a result, I was fined $1400 because I paid the tax late. Will this be covered in the 2022 tax year?

TurboTax only prepares a few city or local tax returns as an extra step in your state return. For most local tax returns you are on your own. Your only record of paying your local tax will be your own bank/credit card records

@dustinpdx

They don't tell us what is included in state forms

BUT #1

From the Oregon list here, it looks like TTX plans to have ONE of the forms for both individuals and businesses:

Intuit App

"

OR

Form SP

Combined Report Form for Individuals Multnomah County Business Income Tax Portland City Business License

BUT #2

Whil the software plans to be able to prepare it, it appears the Form SP cannot be E-filed, and when done, you will need to print and mail-file in that particular form (and pay whatever is needed). The main state forms should be able to be e-filed (other than those listed as being unsupported for e-filing). You should look for that Multnomah preparation within the Oregon state section of the software in LATE January

_________________

Beyond what we see in that forms list, we here in the forum are unaware of how it will be handled.

______________________

And I didn't see the Arts Tax forms in the Oregon list.

You might be better off going to the Portland Individual income tax page for all the various possible taxes that might be special to Portland Metro area in Multnomah county.

Read what is available, and perhaps, get a local tax pro involved with educating you on which of those taxes you may be liable for.

Personal Income Tax Filing and Payment Information | Portland.gov

Also,,,some added info:

High earners in Portland area navigate confusion over new personal income taxes | kgw.com
