      <description>&lt;P&gt;1) if you are a dependent you must indicate that you will be claimed as a dependent&amp;nbsp; on your return&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2) the 1098-T goes on the parents return for any education&amp;nbsp; credit they may be eligible for&amp;nbsp; and on your return if you have taxable scholarships&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;3) you can be on the parent's insurance until you are 26 even if you are not a dependent ... if they have ACA insurance they will get a 1095-A form for their tax return ... you (as a dependent) will not need to enter anything from the 1095-A on your personal return.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;and just for clarification, that statement on From 1040 (or the question in TT) asks CAN you be claimed; it does not ask have you been claimed.......&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;the response to CAN you be claimed is always the same - regardless of what your parents actually do - see the difference?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
