Stop state download

When I install the Turbo Tax CD it automatically, in the background, updates the states of Illinois and Minnesota. I have not had any income from Illinois for three years, and Minnesota for over 20 years. How do I stop the updates for those states?

One user said......The list of states that you used is stored on your computer. When you get a new computer it starts over with an empty list. Getting a new computer is the only way I know to get rid of the unwanted states. At one time I asked them to tell us how to remove a state from the list, but they never responded.

@ktrumpet - you are not charged for the states you are not using.
