Hi!

I’ve been using Upwork since 2020. Upwork doesn’t provide a 1099 unless the contractor has made over 10k that year. Now, if I did make over 10k is there a way to claim it or do the taxes through my C Corp. I received my business license; however, Upwork has my legal name. I’m wondering if I can report my earnings through my business for 2022.

First of all, and obviously, you have to report all of your income regardless of whether or not a tax reporting statement is received.

Next, are you filing an 1120 for a C corporation? Is the C corporation invoicing clients?

Finally, if your own name and tax ID number (e.g., social security number) appears on the 1099, you need to report it on your individual income tax return or there will be a mismatch (either that or you can report the income on your return as nominee for the C corporation).
