The policy number on Form 1095-A does not have to be 15 characters. Enter the 8-character policy number as it appears on the 1095-A. Do not enter any extra characters or spaces.

What is the complete exact error message that you get, word for word?

There is no state income tax for WA so there is no state interview so where are you exactly in the program that it is asking for this number ?

Under federal, Deductions & Credits. The page says "Let's get the info from your 1095-A form."

So that error message doesn't say that the policy number is the problem. What do you see on the page that indicates what the error is? Scroll all the way up and down to make sure you see everything.
