To claim your dependents on Form W4, you would have to complete Step 3: Claim Dependents. Step 3 also allows you to determine your eligibility for the Child Tax Credit and credit for other dependents.

In order to more accurately estimate how much withholding should be taken out of your paycheck, you can utilize the following Form W4 calculator:

In addition, if you feel that not enough tax withholding has been taken out of your paycheck, then you can use Step 4C to add extra withholding to be withheld each pay period.
