      <description>&lt;P&gt;This just started happening:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I go to open turbo tax and it says needs to update. I agree and then it asks for activation code.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Turbo tax says you can use activation code up to 5 times however its been more than 5 times now and it won't allow me in.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I googled and the notes I found were a glitch, resolve by turning off firewalls, rebooting modem, restart program and none of this has worked.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Any suggestion on who I can contact, I need to get into my account and finish my taxes.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;if you get the message "TurboTax cannot be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software" then that is caused by the Apple "Gatekeeper" introduced with OS X 10.15 (Catalina).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;That has nothing to do with TurboTax and will happen for any application not purchased from the Apple Store.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;See this Apple article on this: &lt;A href="https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202491" target="_blank"&gt;https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202491&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;And this TurboTax help article: &lt;A href="https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/troubleshooting/help/turbotax-for-mac-won-t-open-when-installed/00/26611" target="_blank"&gt;https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/troubleshooting/help/turbotax-for-mac-won-t-open-when-installed/00/26611&lt;/A&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;For older Mac systems when TurboTax will not open.&lt;BR /&gt;See:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Be sure that System Preferences -&amp;gt; Security &amp;amp; Privacy -&amp;gt; General -&amp;gt; Allow apps downloaded from App Store and identified developers is checked.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Go to the Applications folder and select the TurboTax application in the Finder and right click with the mouse (or control click) ans select the top "open". &lt;P&gt;Once you install and activate TurboTax on a computer, you cannot "reclaim" that installation, even if you no longer have the computer. If you are having trouble activating your software, and you have not used all 5 of your activations, please contact support during regular business hours or via Facebook or Twitter.&lt;/P&gt;
